Wednesday, September 5, 2018

Name: Pablo Granado

Current Career: Building Engineer II for The Long Center for Performing Arts

Current Position in AAFAME: Adventure Fest Co-Chair, Expo, Training, Incentive Committee

Family Life: Pablo has 3 sons and 1 daughter.  His daughter is the youngest with 3 older brothers to look after her.

Past Jobs: I used to be a Housekeeper here at The Long Center.  I started going to ACC for HVAC, but that was put on hold due to family life.

Professional Aspirations: SMA, FMA, LEED Certifications.

What do you not like about your boss?  I would say something about his hair, but I may get fired.

What do you want to be when you grow up?  I want to be a Cowboy!

Unusual experience as a Building Engineer:  We had a Fun Fun Fest and a vendor brought a dunk tank filled with BBQ sauce.  When it was time for him to leave, he opened the valve and emptied BBQ down our ramp and it killed the grass!

Five minutes of fame: Working here at The Long Center I run into artist all the time.  Ray Benson, a lot of celebrities, and news reporters.

Hobbies: Fishing and beer!

Pet Peeves: Please don’t mess with my hair.

What would you change: I made a lot of mistakes, but it comes with the territory of life.  I wouldn’t change anything.

Favorite quote, saying or song: Anything from George Straight!

Favorite thing about AAFAME: I really like when we get together at the meetings, the food is always a plus! We get to see people in a different lighting, not busy at work.  AAFAME allows us to set everything aside, relax, and learn from everyone!

Would you like to give anyone a shout out? Yes!  My mentors, Jose Delgado, Orlando Martinez, and Omar Heras.  Thank you so much for showing me the ropes and being there for me to look up to.
