Russell Haynes, SMA, FMA
President
Russell Haynes, SMA, FMA served in the US Army for eight years working in Phase Maintenance and Inspection on the AH-1F Cobra Attack Helicopter. He spent four years working as an industrial maintenance technician in a small manufacturing plant. Russell has been employed by REIT Management and Research for ten years working in commercial real estate. For the past seven years he has been assigned to Bridgepoint Square as Lead Engineer where he supervises and conducts maintenance on a campus of 440,000 sq ft. He received his SMA in 2005 and his FMA in 2006. He has been a member of AAFAME for ten years.
Personal goal for AAFAME: "To assist all of it's members in achieving professional growth through this outstanding organization and all it has to offer."

David Shott, SMA, LEED AP
Vice President
David Shott, SMA, LEED AP is the Chief Engineer for Cushman & Wakefield. He has been in the industry for over 10 years. Other Experience includes commercial and residential remodeling as well as commercial automation and controls. David recently passed the US Green Building Counsel's LEED Accredited Professional test. This past year David served on the AAFAME training committee and has been serving on the board for 2 years as secretary and treasurer. David is married with 3 children and enjoys playing bass and running the sound board for his church's band.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: "AAFAME has been very progressive in staying on the edge of new technologies and I would like to continue these traditions while not forgetting the basics. This year new I hope to see technologies allow more participation from the astounding almost 400 current members of AAFAME."

Stac Duff, SMA
Treasurer
Stac Duff, SMA is the Chief Engineer for Cousins Properties at Palisades West. He has an Associates of Applied Science degree in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology. Stac has received his SMA from BOMI and is currently working on his FMA designation. He has over 20 years experience in the facility maintenance and engineering field. Stac has been a member of AAFAME for 5 years and served as co-chairman for the Community Services Community in 2007 and 2008. He is married and has two sons. His hobbies include boating, collecting and restoring antique tools and home improvement projects.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: "To continue the outstanding record of promoting professionalism and education in the facility and maintenance engineering fields through networking and training."

Jose Delgado, SMA, FMA
Secretary
Jose Delgado, SMA, FMA is the Building Operations Engineer at the Long Center. He served in the US Army for 6 years. He has his Certificate of Completion on A/C, Heating and Refrigeration Technology from TX State Technical College. Jose received his SMA in 2006, and his FMA in 2008, he also has his Universal CFC Certification. He has over 20 year experience in the field. Jose has been a AAFAME member since 2003, and has served on various AAFAME committees. Jose is married with 3 kids, 2 grandkids and enjoys jogging, doing yard work, watching sports, and barbecuing.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: “To get more members to participate in committees, training, volunteering and to encourage them to go for their SMA and FMA designation.”

Sam Magee, SMA
Past President
Sam Magee, SMA is the building engineer for Jones Lang LaSalle at Sun Microsystems. He has worked at Sun for over 5 years and has been in the engineering field for 8+ years. His previous experience includes working at Austin Museum of Art, remodeling and photography. Sam received a BA in General Studies from Texas Tech University and received his SMA in 2005. He has also been involved with AAFAME for over 6 years and has served on the Chili Slam Committee and participated in the Planning Session. Sam is married with two kids, one cat and enjoys biking and photography.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: "To one day hear AAFAME talked about by non-members in all walks of Austin society."

Brett Weiss
Vendor Director
Brett Weiss is responsible for business development at Datasavior, Inc. He has been in the voice and data cabling industry for over 7 years with a special emphasis on abandoned cable removal. For the past couple of years Brett has served as Membership Co-Chair for AAFAME and has served on numerous other committees for the organization. AAFAME is a dynamic and exciting association and has been an important part of Datasavior’s success.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: “My goal as Vendor Director is to help other vendors achieve success by actively participating in the association’s activities. I will encourage them to take advantage of the networking opportunities available through AAFAME”

Raul Hernandez
Director - Engineer
Raul Hernandez of Hines is the Building Engineer at 301 Congress Avenue. He has been at 301 for the past 9 years and has been in the engineering field for 10+ years. His varied history includes running OPFOR missions during the Bosnian train-up (while performing his regular duties as a 52Delta generator mechanic) in the US Army, spinning records and CD’s in various clubs in Austin and Bavarian Germany in the 90’s, supervising housekeeping crews in several downtown buildings, and working as a Prep cook at the Erwin Center among other things. Raul is counting down the small number of classes remaining before completing his Bachelors in Business Administration from LeTourneau University. Raul is married with five kids, and is often wondering whether whirled peas will help anyone.
Personal Goal for AAFAME: I’d like to encourage every member to submit at least one idea to both the luncheon and training committees. With everyone’s participation, we can continue to maintain our innovative and fresh perspective of our respective fields.
